THE DAY
My, the week is stacking up fast. It suddenly occurred to me that while I might think I have all this time to get this story done…I really don’t. It’s due on May 1. I have contractors coming every single day this week, and then my folks for Passover and on into Monday . . . and then, all of a sudden, the deadline’s four days away.
So I’ve been cranking. Thinking: You have to get this far today; you just have to.
I made it. I’m not thrilled with every single word, but that’s what edits are about. The important thing is to vomit onto the page just as quickly as I can and then clear away the chunks. (Hey, Nora Roberts used that analogy first, not me.)
Yes, the knee still hurts.

What I’m Watching:
Motive.

What I’m Reading:
Plodding through A Dream in Fog. (And why, you ask? Because there just aren’t many books written on this particular subject.)

What I’m Listening to:
CNN until Trump came on. He’ll be the nominee, which is astonishing. What’s more astonishing is to consider that Clinton might just lose to him.
