THE DAY
So, in brief and because it’s late, the day wasn’t that productive, primarily because I haven’t completely thought through where the narrative should go from here. That is, I know…but I can’t see it in my head. and if i can’t see it, I can’t write it. I can’t really explain it any better than that. There are days when the words dry up and you come to a full stop.
All you can do is hope that tomorrow is better.
Otherwise, swam, baked a cake for a dinner party then went to the dinner party. Tomorrow is busy already; looking ahead, I see work, a cake, doing something with the husband, a visit with friends.
Just have to hope I get past this point. If I can’t, I might just skip over it and come back. I know what needs to happen and/or be said/written. But sometimes it’s okay to elide that and return when the book’s found the right words, or the words have found me.
