Shot Unit

THE DAY

Yet another shot unit, though that’s fine: it was the daughter’s birthday.  So got up early, wrote a touch and then it was off to the gym and then back to take the daughter around town.  Did the art museum, lunch, a bit of a walk, and then took her to see the SW movie (which she thoroughly enjoyed) and then dinner.  She’s packing now, and I’m sorry the little monster’s jetting off tomorrow morning.  OTOH, it’s like all holidays: real life has to eventually intrude.

One thing for which I wish: to settle on a damned tone and voice for this section of the book.  OTOH, perhaps  when I have some uninterrupted writing time, that will come.

What I’m Watching:

Finished Results.  Definitely not worth the rental.  I didn’t see the humor; the romance was thin; and frankly, the woman was so damned annoying, I just didn’t buy the whole premise.  Just when I start to regain my trust in The New York Times

What I’m Reading:

Very scattered; read samples of Handling the Undead and a short story collection by the same author.  The novel sample is intriguing, which is why I got the audioversion (no listening today, though); the short stories, not so much.  Did read a very decent short by Stephen King that was published in F&SF a while ago (I’m too lazy to go find it, but it was something about getting a time-limited subscription to the New York Times).

What I’m Listening to:

Eventually, I’ll get back to Handling the Undead.
